A busy month !!! Visa's sorted, plans made. ££££ converted to $$$$. Flights booked. Lotsa videos added to the website. And see below..............

On this side of the pond things were busy from July forward:
Shocked every one at work by giving my official retirement date of 31 October 2008. Applied for and received my passport. (how the photographer managed to make my picture look like someone else is beyond me!)
Met with an immigration attorney and had to turn the ‘Visa thing” over to the other Okie to be done from there.
Gave in to my 65th birthday approaching and filed for Medicare, THEN added to the insult and filed for my Social Security benefits. Those will start middle February 08. The money will be nice, but I hate to admit to being 65.
Was terribly tantalized by seeing my commitment ring on the web cam. Dave e mailed a picture of it too, but can’t get the damn thing on my finger that way either!
Was ecstatic when told his flight date was now March 31!!!! It was worth another dry run to the airport to see if I could narrow the time down to less than 7 minutes. Made it home in 6 minutes 30 seconds. (But that’s with both hands on the wheel, no red lights, and in broad daylight!!)

It’s now the last week of November, and I already have my Christmas tree up and the house is decorated. I think it’s an effort to make time pass faster. At the end of December it will be only 3 months till I’m finally in my man’s arms. Oh please….just for me….time please fly.

111 days to go ............. Sharon has no electricity !!! Unable to chat online, so have added weather, sunrise data to home page and looking for more videos.
Tulsa today: About 220,000 area homes and businesses without power. More than two-thirds of the Tulsa metro area was without electricity Monday as heavy ice caused trees to snap and fall, taking power lines with them. Lt. Gov. Jari Askins signed a state of emergency declaration for Oklahoma on Monday because of the storm.

100 days to go ............. Power restored on Tuesday, but no heating or cable. Cable (and PC) back online Wednesday. Today (Saturday), still no heating. As for this Okie.............nothing to report, situation normal !!!!

The power and heat are on and after a while the whole thing is like a bad dream. There was such a mess left by the ice storm. Huge piles of tree limbs at the curb all over the city. Bonnie and I have worked hard for the last two days trying to get our yards cleaned up. Still much to do, but at least it looks better and our Christmas lights look very pretty again. Our spirits are lifted by seeing them on, and the darkness is chased away.

It’s now 75 days to my man's arrival. The time seems to be moving quickly now. I find myself making plans in earnest….he's told me about his clothing order I can expect to receive.
I’m getting excited, and more than a little nervous. I have butterflies in my stomach at times. Each day brings him closer and closer. I’ve asked time to fly…and it appears I’ve gotten my wish.
Nothing can stop us now!!!!

Here it is….... February 6, 2008. I’ve looked at the counter and it reads 54 days. I’ve still a few things to gather for Dave. His clothing is hung in the closet and it’s almost as if he is here already. I keep going to the closet and touching them ...... ....imagining how they will look on him. It’s a lovely rush of excitement that I’m almost unable to contain......each day a little closer.

As of today….February 29, we have only 31 days before we finally see each other. I can see the excitement building in him and I can feel the excitement in myself. Nervous, slightly silly, apprehensive as teenagers on a first date. I love it!

Finally ........ one day to go ....... at 9pm tomorrow I will be in Tulsa. What can I say .....emotion, apprehension, anticipation, excitement, longing, ....... none of these words or feelings even begin to explain it !!!

Arrived back home two days ago ............. a fantastic, wonderful, glorious experience........ and missing Tig unbearably. Now counting the days until I bring my woman home with me. What more can I say ............ the photo says it all !!!
